Dr. Kenneth Brown has continually served as a registered, licensed clinical counselor for 37 years since 1987, having assisted over 7,000 clients with 60,000 plus hours of face-to-face counseling through his agency, Hope Counseling Service (www.HopeCounselingService.org). For 33 years, and as a Florida Approved Clinical Supervisor for 22 years, Dr. Brown has assisted over 50 counselors to become licensed Mental Health Counselors and/or licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and supervised MA interns for 5 post-graduate colleges.

Dr. Brown, together with his darling wife, Lynn, in 2003 co-founded the Florida-licensed child placing/adoption agency called Hope for Families Adoption Services Inc. (www.HopeForFamilies.org). They have assisted over 2,500 people in adopting 3,000 children while maintaining an A Plus Rating on the BBB.

In 1979, Dr. Brown began counseling and lecturing police officers, then became a sworn law enforcement officer with the Metro Toronto Police Force. He co-founded the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers and instituted a 24-hour crisis telephone hotline for Peace Officers and their families, both of which spread coast to coast across Canada. Dr. Brown retired from MTPF in 1989 to pursue his doctorate in marriage and family therapy and began a counseling practice focused on assisting 5 local police agencies and the first responder community.

Dr. Brown is an ordained chaplain with the International Fellowship of Chaplains, serving as an auxiliary chaplain with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. He also counsels their deputies when needed through the Employee Assistance Program. Dr. Brown is a Certified Crisis Responder and Trauma Specialist and has been on the Treasure Coast Critical Incident Debriefing Team for 23 years.

Dr. Brown has had a radio program for 8 1/2 years, a television program for 2 years, and was a regular contributor to TBN and a variety of Christian radio/TV programs. Since 1977, he has provided many presentations for his community through his Hope for the Hurting Seminars (www.HopefortheHurtingSeminars.org).
